A Ukraine International Airlines Boeing 737-800 crashed minutes after departure from Tehran, Iran on 08 January 2020. The aircraft, registered as UR-PSR and delivered new to the airline on 19 July 2016, was operating flight PS752 to Kyiv, Ukraine with 167 passengers and 9 crew on-board when it came down 15 kilometers north of Tehran Airport. On 11 January 2020, the Islamic Republic of Iran, admited to unintentionally shooting down the aircraft due to human error.
