Я хочу всем сказать спасибо за все, за ваши щедрые лайки, хоть они и адресованы Джо Гилгану, какую-то часть я могу отнести к себе как благодарность за посты. Я не собираюсь извиняться за свой характер, выплавленный жизнью, которая по видимому сильно отличается от вашей. Многие мои жизненные понятия сильно отличаются от ваших, в том числе и от понятий Гилгана. Я благодарна Джо за его бесстрашную открытость и честность в интервью, я ни у кого такого не встречала ранее. Говорить о своих психических проблемах было не принято в обществе, каким-то образом Джо выставляет их как нечто обычное и даже как притягательное качество или особенность. Люди теперь не отвращены как раньше от такого, а принимают как должное. В этом я вижу, несомненно, большой вклад Джо Гилгана. Мое уважение, все шляпы сняты. Однако, я тут собираюсь прощаться с вами и с мистером Гилганом. Я собираюсь идти дальше, меня ждут новая работа и новые проекты. Хоть у меня нет нового фаворита, но я не чувствую больше притяжения. I am not going to apologize for my character and my life, which seems to be very different from yours.

Many of my life concepts are very different from yours, including Gilgun’s.
⠀
I am grateful to Joe for his fearless openness and honesty in the interview, I have never met anyone like him before.
⠀
Talking about his mental problems hasn’t been socially accepted, somehow Joe exposes them as something ordinary and even as an attractive quality or feature.

People are no longer disgusted with it, but take it for granted. I see in this, without a doubt, a great contribution from Joe Gilgun.

My respect, all hats are off.

However, I am here to say goodbye to you and Mr. Gilgun. I’m going to move on, I have new projects waiting for me. Even though I don’t have a new favorite, I don’t feel attracted to Joe anymore.

Structurally there are deep parallels between Brassic and the good old days of Shameless: a shambolic central lead who works his way through each episode with all the poise of a box of dropped cymbals; the Ocean’s Eleven-by-way-of-Emmerdale way every plan is carefully plotted, disastrously undertaken and ultimately pulled off; a depiction of working-class life that presents poverty as a hurdle to be cheerfully leapt over once a week instead of the fundamental pulse that beats ominously behind every second of every day; one-shot characters who are far more interesting than most shows’ actual leads (John Thomson plays a salty circus magician for two small scenes that, in any other circumstance, would demand their own spin-off commission). ⠀ What I like most about Brassic is that it is an hour long. It doesn’t need to be, and in the wrong hands that would be a problem: a 22-minute episode padded out with flimsy subplots, a pointless cameo, a forced one-episode romance. Instead, Brassic stretches each instalment out elegantly, giving it room to breathe: scenes run longer to accommodate extra funny lines; there are few of those structural, “so what are we doing and where are we going?” pieces that necessarily bolt shorter shows together. Joe Gilgun running around a village getting threatened by villains doesn’t deserve to be as good as this, but it is. Here’s to four or five more seasons. ✊

Brassic: Joe Gilgun’s drama is Ocean’s Eleven by way of Emmerdale – only better This superb tale of a northern ne’er-do-well wiggling out of self-made problems deserves to run for series after series Joel Golby Sat 2 May 2020 Hey: why is Joe Gilgun not in every show on TV? Logistics, obviously. I know that there are only so many hours in a day, shooting days are long: it’s physically unviable to expect Joe Gilgun to be in every show, on all of TV, all at once. But watch the new season of Brassic (Thursday, 10pm, Sky One) and it is hard not to reel away and wonder: but why is Joe Gilgun not in every show on TV? A quick recap of Brassic, then, which ahead of its second season this week already possesses the assured energy of a show that knows it has four, maybe five more series in the tank. Gilgun leads as Vinnie, a northern town ne’er-do-well who charms his way through a succession of self-made problems while supported by a diversely ragtag gang. This is peak Gilgun, who always plays remixes of more-or-less the same character in everything he does, but manages it so well it doesn’t matter: brash and tender and funny, with a faultline of emotional weakness running through him, at any one time either threatening to cry about how much his friends mean to him or, alternately, giving the finger to someone out of the window of a stolen lorry while crashing it through a locked gate. This could be him in This Is England, or Misfits, or Preacher, really, but right now it’s him in Brassic, a near-perfect platform for Joe Gilgun to Gilgun on. That’s not to take away from the rest of the cast, though: the smart foil of Damien Molony’s Dylan, the mothering-as-a-form-of-friendship role of Michelle Keegan’s Erin, Ryan Sampson as a gruff sex-empire proprietor and Dominic West as Vinnie’s posh doctor. At first blush, the supporting cast seems unnecessarily huge, but the more you watch it the more things click together; the more every role in every caper makes sense. 👆

Чувствую словно меня упрекает сам Джо Гилган, я в отличие от него не дружна с родителями и сиблингами, и семьей называю своих детей. Я зависима от интернета и социальных сетей, но я там получаю информацию, а не общение. Я не нуждаюсь в постоянных отношениях и действительно бросаю людей, всех без исключения, ну потому что я от них очень быстро устаю. А парни, да, они всегда на один раз, так уж повелось издавна, и ничего с этим поделать нельзя. Но ведь несколько из них были такими настырными, что у меня были настоящие длительные отношения. Есть упорные личности, которые держатся за меня мертвой хваткой и никак не отцепятся 😁 это старые друзья и видимо те люди которые без меня не могут. Ну, каждому свое. Даже я человек, не нуждающийся в отношениях, постоянно оказываюсь в них. Так что хватит мистер Гилган пороть чушь типа я один, одиношенек и никого вокруг меня нет и не будет… Если вы только позволите этому случится, вас, блять целый гарем ждёт.

Sky One Releases Trailer For ‘Brassic’ Season 2 By Patrick Munn | April 24, 2020 Sky One has released the trailer for the second season of Brassic, which is set to premiere on Thursday May 7th at 10pm. Created by Joseph Gilgun and Danny Brocklehurst, Brassic follows a group of working-class friends finding unconventional ways to win at life in northern suburbia. The comedy series, which was created by Joe Gilgun and Danny Brocklehurst, is produced by Calamity Films and stars Joe Gilgun, Michelle Keegan, Damien Molony, Tom Hanson, Aaron Heffernan, Ryan Sampson and Parth Thakerar. In season two, Vinnie has been hiding out in his weed shed since faking his own death to escape from local gangster Terrance McCann. Tommo and Erin need his help and try to lure him out of hiding with a new business proposition and together with the lads they plot to rob a travelling circus. With the help of a disgruntled clown, Mr Popov played by John Thomson, the gang aim to make this theft a ‘roaring’ success. John Thomson (Cold Feet) and Bill Paterson (Fleabag) are joining the cast for season two. ✊ #Brassic2
