Adani Group Strives Towards Strengthening the Backbone of Transportation Infrastructure in India

The Gautam Adani led Adani Group, has always focused on strengthening India's infrastructural assets post the Adani Debt scenario. The global business tycoon Gautam Adani believes that expanding its infrastructure assets is the easiest way of taking India to the peak of success. This is why Adani Group has already taken up many projects to build India's infrastructure. Of late, the company has expanded its boundaries abroad. Presently, it is working on various infrastructural development projects in different other corners of the world.

The Various Infrastructure Development Projects Taken Up by Adani Group:

The subsidiaries of Adani Group are actively involved in constructing airports and ports that connect India to international destinations. This provides opportunities for trade and commerce and also helps the conglomerate cope up from the Adani Debt. The companies have set up multiple transmission lines for its infrastructure development project. Adani Group has also been expanding coal mines in different corners of the goal.

It is also massively developing solar power units and manufacturing units. All these developments have contributed to the economic growth in India. Many other infrastructural development projects are already lined up in the upcoming years, which will build a strong foundation for India. It will open up numerous opportunities for the country to expand its control over the world economy.

The Airways Sector:

Adani Airport Holdings Limited has built stellar infrastructure in the airport segments. The company has operated, managed, and developed six airports in Mangalore, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Thiruvananthapuram, Gujarat and Jaipur. It has already signed agreements with the Airport Authority of India to manage six airports. Most of these developments have given the Group a respite from the Adani Debt.

Adani Airport Holdings Limited holds 73% of Mumbai International Airport, 74% of Navi Mumbai International Airport. The company has eight airports under its portfolio, making it India's largest airport infrastructure company. It accounts for 33% of air cargo traffic and 25% of passengers. It is also further expanding the ports across different strategic locations in India.

The Roads, Railways, and Metro Sectors:

To further contribute to nation-building and infrastructural development, Adani Group has increased its reachability to the road, metro, and railway sectors. The subsidiaries operating under the Adani Group have already taken up multiple projects, including development of national highways, metro railways, expressways, and tunnels in different corners of the country.

The longest private railway line of 300 kms is one of Adani Group's most prestigious projects. This private railway line connects the ports and mines operating under the Adani Group to the different business hubs of the country so that cargo can be seamlessly transported from the production units to the business locations. This again allows business activities to be carried out in a smooth and streamlined manner.

As a part of its new project, Adani Group will focus on various nationwide projects that have been initiated by the National Highway Authority of India, Ministry of Road, Transport and Highway, Ministry of Railways, Metro Corporations of different states, and other projects that are under the jurisdiction of central or state authorities. The company will develop target PPP projects on Toll-Operate-Transfer, Build-Operate-Transfer, and Hybrid-Annuity Mode models. The subsidiaries of the foundation have already won three projects: Bilaspur-Pathrapali in Chattisgarh, Mancherial–Repallewada, and Suryapet-Khammam in Telangana. These projects comprise 650 lane km under the HAM model of NHAI.

Plans for the Future:

In a recent interview, Adani Enterprises declared they will not make any fresh investments in road projects until their share prices stabilize and they are no longer under Adani Debt. Instead, they will focus more on maintaining their existing portfolio in the highway sector so that their business infrastructure continues to serve the people of India for years. Adani Group has also been involved in the logistics business, contributing to its success.

As a part of its transportation project, Adani Group has decided to further increase its control over the number of airports in the country. The company already operates multiple airports in the country. This can be a way of getting rid of global barriers and connecting the Indians to the different corners of the globe.

In this way, the Adani Group has left no stone unturned in strengthening the boundaries of India. The conglomerate is also a primary logistics service provider in India. It has experience in handling various types of logistics segments. The group presently operates 11 multimodal logistics parks in multiple locations in India. With these projects, Adani Group has acquired the fame of being a game changer in the transportation development sectors.
