When it comes to moving, many people chose to hire a removalist. Indeed, moving can be a tedious and stressful task. Some movers company will charge some fuel diesel fees or fuel levy rate. It's different following the company. It is generally a small flat rate fee to cover the fuel expenses.

GST:

GST is a compulsory tax that every company has to put on top of their rates and they then have to give back to the government, the amount value of GST will be 10 % of your bill.

Call out fee:

Many companies charges call-out fees. It is money that you have to pay if you cancel your job last minute. Some company ask for 48 hours’ notice, some companies one week. Just check their terms and conditions or ask the removalists. This money can be taken from your deposit or if no deposit asked you once you cancel.

Deposit:

Most of the company asked for a deposit before the job. It’s generally 100 $ to $200

Insurance fees

Any serious and trustworthy moving companies will have insurance. There is different kind of insurance as Transit or Cargo (goods), Truck ( vehicle ) and public liability ( for anything happening outside in general ).

Some company doesn’t have any insurance for goods or items but can provide one on-demand with a small fee.

Trolley fees

Removalists sometimes charge money for gears, trolley or anything related. Its important to check with them first if that the case.

Communication is very important and you should already check the provider website. Generally, everything should be explained clearly. Another tip would be to read their terms and conditions and make sure there is no hidden fee or anything specific.

Then you have to ask fora written quote to have a track of what the removalist charge. Before booking, make sure to contact the mover by phone and go through everything with him.
