Consider the Context of Your Emails

Image for post

When a potential customer gives you their email address, they do so for some reason. They register your email list to receive something useful and valuable. Do not send general post office promoting all your products. Send them the email they want and want. If you want your email engagement rate to go up after they've got what they came for, you need to give them what they care about. Here are some ways you can engage with your members and make money from your list:

  • Design a Paid Email Course
  • Share a link to the featured product page on your website.
  • Regular sales and discounts are offered.
  • Create a series of emails that nurture leads.

Keep content gated

If you are showing valuable content and you are passionate about what you do then you are halfway there. But always remember not to overdo it. Sometimes you can give them an additional educational email. You have a lot of information about your users. Use that information to teach yourself something. When you educate them about yourself, their interest will increase, not only is the email interesting to open. But it also encourages people to come back and engage to gain more insights into their behavior and progress.

Every Friday, Mint, the online personal finance manager, sends illuminated statements for all of their clients' accounts straight to their inbox.
