Why Choose an Overhead Enclosed Track Conveyor

The overhead conveyor industry has come a long way as a young engineer has teamed up by the name of Jervis B. with a 20th-century manufacturing transformation named Henry T. Ford. Pictures of the Charlie Chaplin film short on the assembly line come to mind that was Avantegare. It has profoundly transformed during this period. The I-beam conveyor was discovered and conceived to establish an assembly line into a single synchronous line of progressive jobs.

These garment sorts systems have the following benefits over the conventional roller type and belt floor conveyors:

  • Smaller radii for the horizontal and vertical bends will be achieved
  • The product was non-conveyable on other designs
  • Free up floor space for operating personnel and manufacturing equipment.

The continuous overhead conveyor path:

  • By not shifting between the conveyors, the damage is less
  • Saves in drives
  • Decreases expensive controls when making a change or transfer in direction
  • Inventory may be quickly controlled through FIFO

In today's world, of manufacturing atmosphere is to increase the efficiency of capitalized tools in harmony with human power. Work in process is expensive both in storage and inventory space. Work that is in the ready or queue increases the up time of the system. Overhead conveyors are fertile conditions for the free non-synchronous and power conveyors.

The Overhead conveyor will be categorized into separate zones:

  • unloading and loading
  • Storage or buffer
  • Delivery
  • Process
  • Sortation of different product mix into varied spurs

The product will be changed or spaced in speed by merging onto a separate chain. It will be closely packed through biased banking. The part clearances will be regulated by the form of release from air-operated stops that is necessary for:

  • Decreasing oven space
  • Unloading and loading
  • Queuing in front of assembly areas or process tools.

Each individual carrier will be held in an air-operated stop that may get:

  • Each zone will work independently for the balance of the garment sorts systems
  • Top-notch quality in the process
  • Locational accuracy while interfacing with robots

The 21st century has seen a movement from conventional structural I-beam to Overhead enclosed track conveyors to the enclosed track design. The overhead enclosed track conveyor in the late 1960s emerged. By the mid-1970s, the existence of overhead-enclosed track conveyor-free and power versions was in high demand.

The advantages of overhead enclosed track conveyors compared to the I-beam overhead conveyor are:

  • Smaller radii on vertical or horizontal bends
  • Finger pinch points are decreased with an internally running conveyor chain
  • Reduces cross-section height
  • Prevents contamination of the product and conveyor chain
  • Few designs help an inverted slot-up position with no or minimal modifications.
