EARLY AND Individual LIFE
Mario Fortino Alfonso Moreno Reyes was born within the Santa María la Ribera neighbourhood of Mexico City, and grew up inside the tough neighbourhood of Tepito. ORIGIN OF NAME
As a young man, Cantinflas performed many different acts in travelling tents, and it was right here that he acquired the nickname "Cantinflas".
