Did you ever wonder how a simple thing like the Ramadan fast could have so much Hadith about it? What did people used to say about this practice back in the old times when Islam was newly-established and spreading? How could this tradition have spread to all corners of the globe and continue to do so today? The Hadith is said to be a collection of stories, wisdom and experiences, passed down from followers of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) to their descendants. The Hadith is considered to be one of the few ancient Islamic texts that are 100% reliable, so it must be doing something right!

The Ramadan Festival falls on the ninth month of the Islamic calendar and is celebrated with the full moon each night. During the fasting period, Muslims around the world fast from dawn to sunset. During that time they are also allowed to undertake several different kinds of prayers. The Hadith is considered to be one of the best collections of Muslim traditions and experiences. If you want to get into the spirit of the festival, then consider some of the following hadith stories:

The holy month of Ramadan begins with the call to prayer from the mosques all over the globe. After that, prayers will be answered from every Muslim house. During the course of the day, hundreds of thousands of mosques will be crowded. Some will even be opened for 24 hours straight! That is why the day is regarded as a time of great celebration in Islam.

The story of the Ka'ba is also related to the Ramadan. When the caravan made its way to Mecca, they encountered the river Raqfat. The idol of Hajjaj was standing on its water source. When the caravan approached, the idol fainted and started to sink in the river. The waters dried up the caravan.

Two years later, Muslim traders reached Mecca. They built the mosque that we know today. During this time, the Kaaba was built. When Muslims arrived from Arabia, they took with them the Hadith. They preserved these accounts in hymns. These Hadith are written in Arabic and are very important to Islam.

The Hadith about Ramazan narrates about the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and his companions. It describes the time when Islam first began to flourish. It's interesting to note that the accounts written in red ink have faded since Mecca was conquered by Islam. That's why there are a lot of inaccuracies in the traditional Hadith that are written in black. This makes studying them very difficult.

The time of the Ramadan fast is the best time to learn about this holy tradition. The followers of Islam fast from dawn to sunset. During this time, their body needs to be nourished. It is during this time when Muslims can acquire worldly strength through food. Fasting is therefore a requirement for all Muslims.

A large number of Hadith relate to charities and the like. However, there are some which have had bad PR. Some hadith stories have been linked to the practices of child marriage and human slavery. Many of the negative stories have come from old Persian and Arabic versions. The new Islamic versions have completely revised and eliminated such practices.

There are many Hadith which detail violent punishments that were meted out to people who did not follow Islamic rules. In some cases, these include amputations. Today, Islamic law does not allow the amputation of the hands or legs. However, they cannot be used as a means of punishment. The punishments given to people are judged by certain factors like intent.

Many stories have been re-written so that they are more pleasing to the Allah. That's why the hadith is often referred to as the Quran. They are considered to be an authentic source of information. Some of the most well known hadith include: The Battle of Karbala, The Battle of Yamamany, The Battle of thereunto, The Battle ofhodar and The Battle of Al-Baghad.

The stories mentioned above have had many interpretations. One of the most popular is that of the Yamamany expedition. The meaning is that Yamamany was defeated by a caravan because they were not following the true path of Islam. Today, this battle is often fought between the Muslims and non-Muslims in Afghanistan. There are many battles that happened in Mecca which are considered to be legends and myths.
